The Hurdle of Improving Self Esteem and how to overcome it.

Overcoming and improving self esteem can be a very big hurdle to get over for some people, but fear not it can be done and you CAN be that confident person that will allow yourself to do all those things that you stop yourself doing on a daily basis just because you dont feel confident enough to do them..

You need to remember that you are a worthwhile person who can achieve anything you put your mind to, You have to get rid of all those negative thinking patterns that so often jump into your brain the second you want to try something new, Trying new things can be a great way for improving self esteem because a low esteem has you fearful of doing new things, Speaking to new people, Going to new places and much more in-between, But just taking small steps in a more positive way like talking to one new person or taking up a new hobby with like minded people who enjoy doing the same things you do can be such a big step towards gaining that much more confidence each day.

Also be kinder to yourself, Try not to be too hard on yourself not just mentally but also physically, Another great way to improving self esteem is regular exercise, Try and go to your local gym or just a gentle jog even just once a week will give you a natural high and by doing this you are recognizing that you are a worthwhile person and that you do matter, and adopting a healthier physical lifestyle it’s also giving your mind’s positive thinking patterns a good work out too and shedding those negative thoughts by the dozen.

Also improving self esteem allows you not only to feel a whole lot better about yourself but you will feel a whole lot better and more comfortable around other people and in turn they will feel comfortable being around you, This will increase your social interactivity and you will end up having much more fun in general in which will lead you to be feeling much more happy and less miserable, In affect trying to take small gradual steps in changing just one thing can have a domino effect on your life in more ways than one.

Also remember when socialising to surround yourself with people who respect you and are positive people, If you surround yourself with people who are negative and treat you badly then this will only make your self esteem worse, being around people who are positive, Kind and respectful towards you and other people will make you develop there social skills over time and in a natural way without really thinking about doing it, By surrounding yourself with these sorts of people will slowly start to melt away those negative thinking patterns and replace them with positive ones, And positive thinking will make you achieve all those things you never thought you could, So this is a very important way of improving self esteem.

Mastering Your Mind Power Overcoming Fear

Most of the fears we experience are irrational. In other words, there is no valid reason that we should be influenced by them because they are not based on any real, physical event, person, or thing. The effect on the vast majority of people in our society, however, is poverty-mindedness and inability to enjoy the wealth that is all around. Fear is the single greatest reason that you and millions of other people have not and are not now living more of the lives you desire.

Irrational fear has become the filters through which your self image directs nearly every decision you make, especially if the decision involves finances. Irrational fear is a major factor that keeps 95% of the population either in poverty or struggling to live on paycheck to paycheck jobs. Since, in a the state of fear, calm, rational thinking is literally pushed aside, any decision you make in this state is generally not going to be in your best interest.

Obviously, in order for you to succeed at mastering your mind power and having more of the life you desire, some of your fears must be faced and overcome. Please do not despair. The overcoming of fear is not as difficult as it might sound, and I am not suggesting that you overcome all of your fears. Remember, some of them may be so deep seated that the services of a qualified, professional therapist might be required.

It is critical that you identify the fear or fears standing between you and your desires. Here is a process that worked for me. I began to consciously observe my reactions and feelings whenever (for example) money issues came up in conversations with my wife or other members of my family.

If something as simple as an extended vacation came up, I would begin to sense those fear feelings in the pit of my stomach that we would need the money that we would spend on the vacation for something more pressing, and I would produce various reasons why an extended vacation was not a good idea. If something as serious as starting a business or investing in capital properties entered our conversation, the fear of the possible loss of our hard-earned money would sometimes become so acute that I would have trouble sleeping at night. Keep in mind that I was earning a six figure income, but that did not deter the fear.

One day it dawned upon me that I had learned from my studies that I needed to focus on my desires more than I focused on fear. Once I began to consistently imagine the joy of seeing and visiting with my family, old friends, and new places, the fear of needing the money for something more pressing faded more and more. There really was nothing more pressing.

As for starting a business, I reasoned that by choosing the right kind of business, there were some tax breaks available to me. By taking advantage of them, I could possibly keep more of the earnings from my job and make a profit sooner from a business by learning and using good money management principles. In other words, the imagined gain and joy of achieving my desires became greater than the imagined fear.

You too must go through a process of your choosing to overcome the fear within you. Life on this planet is too short to give it over to fears, most of which do not exist in reality and never will. One of the saddest commentaries on human history is the abundant availability of great wealth but fear all too often succeeds in blinding us to the possibility of having that wealth.

However, this I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Mastering Your Mind Power Training Your Imagination

On a recent visit to the local library, I took notice, really took notice of a giant Sequoia tree about twenty feet from the front entrance. The tree stands nearly 100 feet tall and has a trunk that is about 6 feet in diameter. Now I have been past that tree hundreds of times before as I visited that library, but I had only paid enough attention to it to know that it was there.

Laying on the ground underneath the tree were several seed carrying cones with their numerous seeds attached. Each seed was about the size of a dime but a bit thicker. On that day, I saw that magnificent tree in a different light. The realization that this gargantuan of a tree grew from that small seed produced a profound sense of awe in me.

I was once again reminded that everything that my eyes beheld around me, including the library building, the cars on the streets, the street lights, the streets, the books inside the library, even the people visiting the library (including me) began as a relatively tiny seed. The inanimate items, of course, began as thought seeds in the imagination of someone.

Herein is the importance of mastering your mind power by training your imagination. Just as the giant Sequoia tree develops from the small seed or the human adult grows from a tiny microscopic egg, so will your desires grow out of the thoughts, ideas, and mental images that you consistently hold in your imagination.

I am certain that you have had or now have thoughts of what you would like to have, to do, or to be. It is now up to you to organize a regimen for consistently presenting those thoughts to your subconscious mind through your imagination. It is you and only you who have been given absolute control by your creator over what may be allowed into your imagination.

The first order of business is to organize your thoughts into your definite major goal or intention. This step is of utmost importance. To neglect this step would be like embarking on a driving trip from Hayward, California to New York City, New York without planning a route. What would be your chances of ever getting there? As critical as this step is, the vast majority of the population, approximately 95%, never, ever, do it. Unfortunately, there is a 95% chance that you are one of those people.

The next step is to set aside definite periods of every day to relax yourself and bring the images that represent what you want to have, to be, or to do into your imagination. For most people, these periods must be longer than the 5 to 10 minutes 3 times a day that many authors suggest. I think those periods should be more in the half hour to and hour range.

I am sure that your first reaction to the longer periods is that it is impossible to carve out that much time from your busy day. However, before you make that pronouncement your permanent reality, I strongly urge you to analyze how you are using your time now and determine if your activities are moving you toward your goal or intention.

This I know for sure. You can claim or reclaim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.
